On 9-10 February 2026, the STRIKE consortium will come together in Segovia for its 6th Progress Meeting, hosted by Nanotech Solutions SL. The meeting will take place at the Hotel San Antonio el Real, providing the setting for two days of scientific exchange and strategic discussions as the project enters its final year.
Following the successful format of the previous meeting, the programme will centre on progress reports and discussions across the three core research areas of the STRIKE project:
- Metals for theranostic and imaging purposes
- Magnetic nanomaterials for drug delivery in osteosarcoma therapy
- Magnetic beads for liquid biopsy
Given STRIKE’s focus on the use of magnetic nanomaterials to target malignant tumours, early-stage researchers from the consortium will also take part in a dedicated Magnetic Workshop following the meeting. Running from 11-13 February, the International Workshop on Dynamical Magnetisation Phenomena in Nanomaterials: From Magnetic Losses to Particle Imaging will combine lectures and hands-on sessions covering imaging, hyperthermia, sensing applications and related topics.
