I am 25 years old. I’m from Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I will do a PhD in Molecular and Translational Medicine (Synthesis and characterization of 2D nanoplatforms as active drug carriers) at the Palacký University, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Institute of Molecular and Translational Medicine, under the supervision of Professor Václav RANC. My main degree is MSc in Chemistry (field of Inorganic Chemistry and Nanochemistry). During my research experience heretofore I had an opportunity to work on several projects for developing innovative technologies in the raw materials value chain, renewable energy sources and above all, the synthesis of different nanomaterials. Therefore, my main research focus is on the development of new materials, synthesis and functionalization of advanced nanostructured materials with a long-term vision for the expansion of breakthrough technologies in nanomedicine. The establishment of best strategies for cancer diagnosis and treatment by performing biomedical research through an innovative MSCA training network is the main reason why I chose this PhD since it is multidisciplinary, integrating and can provide me with the necessary skill and knowledge
