I am 26 years old. I am from Bursa, Turkey, and I will do a PhD at Nanotech Solutions Limited Company under the direction of Dr. Francisco José Terán Garcinuño, and at Autonomous University of Madrid, Faculty of Sciences, Department of Materials Physics under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Jaque García. My main degree is a Master of Science in Nanotechnology Engineering (field of Biochemistry and Nanochemistry), but I also hold a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering. During my previous academic studies, I have had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various research projects and developed proficiency in a wide range of laboratory techniques such as structural, colloidal, and magnetic nanomaterial characterization, bioconjugation of nanoparticles, and GMP procedures. I’ve also gained technical knowledge about the design and development of instrumentation, which I believe perfectly suits the horizon of the STRIKE research project 6. Indeed, developing instrumentation is crucial in advancing technology, improving scientific understanding, and addressing real-world problems. Therefore, my main research project focuses on the design, development, and understanding of the fundamentals of a biomolecule detection methodology for the diagnosis of diseases. I chose this PhD because I am extremely interested in working on the development of instrumentation and testing methodologies to benefit magnetic-responsive nanotherapeutics against osteosarcoma.
