I am 25 years old. I am from Mexico City, Mexico. I will do a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences at the Department of Chemical, Biological, Pharmaceutical, and Environmental Sciences (ChiBioFarAm) of Messina University (UniMe) under the supervision of Dr. Anna Piperno. My main degree is a Master's in Biomedical Engineering specializing in Biomaterials and Biodevices at PSL University, Paris City University, and Superior National School of Arts et Métiers. Moreover, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Physics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). During my academic trajectory, I have gained experience in multidisciplinary fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, and programming related to the biomedical field. This diversity allowed me to perform several research projects that go from the development and optimization of processes such as the  chemical synthesis of nanotheranostic materials to analysis of patents by data mining. My main research focus is on exploring the magnetic drug guidance and delivery of nanotherapeutic materials toward the disease target such as a cancerogenic tumor, such as osteosarcoma. I choose this Ph.D. program since I believe it will provide me with the opportunity and necessary tools, knowledge, and skills to have a better understanding of the drug development process, the interaction between the nanomaterial-human body but mainly, it will help me to be a step closer to have a positive impact in patients who suffer from bone cancer. Additionally, I feel quite honored to do my PhD and be part of STRIKE projects since I will be able to work with esteemed members in the Biomedicine field.
