Complementary training: “European Public Funding schemes for R&D and Innovation and Technology Transfer”

Chair: Dr. Tommaso Foglia

STEM Innovation organized a captivating training program for our researchers focused on technology commercialization, intellectual property management, and fostering spinout companies.

Through the interesting lectures of M. Sc. Tomasso Foglia, Dr. Pier Liughi Franceschini and Dr. Enrico Di Oto, the doctoral candiates could gain a comprehensive understanding of the European Public Funding Schemes for R&D while real-life examples were shared by the experts.

Moreover, these training sessions equipped the researchers the skills and insights needed to navigate the intricate landscape of research and innovation. Therefore, the training wasn't just theoretical; the doctoral candidates gained hands-on experience by drafting proposal abstracts. They received invaluable feedback from both the instructors and their peers, shaping their understanding of effective proposal development, and the understanding of different funding scheme.

In addition to the funding insights, our ESRs had scientific lectures by Dr. Silvia Panseri and Dr. Anna Piperno . The sessions dive into the fascinating realms of cells-biomaterials communications and targeted drug delivery, enhancing the scientific underpinnings of their research.

As we continue this journey, stay tuned for more updates on the strides the doctoral candidates make, the collaborations they form, and the impact they create in the world of research and innovation!
